PopSockets x AMATERAS collaboration event will be held in Omotesando, Tokyo.

A launch event was held for smartphone items inspired by Japanese traditions.

A collaboration item between PopSockets Japan, a global company that sells mobile accessories that make smartphones more convenient and stylish, and AMATERAS was launched on Friday, March 1st. A launch event was held in Omotesando on the same day.

In this collaboration, the designer's goal was to "update the traditional Japanese ways and traditions that have been protected for a long time in a new form and spread them to the world," and the design was inspired by Japanese traditions and ceramics with a Japanese modern concept. The grip part incorporates a pattern with a dry landscape garden motif, and the color and texture are reminiscent of traditional ceramics.

The launch event took place at Omotesando Chashu Kaneda Naka, with a total of 20 guests in attendance. Collaboration items were displayed alongside pottery in a Japanese-style space.

As guests enjoyed the seasonal course meal, iPhone cases and grips were brought out on small plates that resembled a Japanese garden. The items were designed to resemble pottery, evoking the image of enjoying tea in the tranquil atmosphere of a Japanese garden.

Popsockets CEO David Barnett also attended the event from his US headquarters, where he shared with guests his thoughts on the brand's founding and his special feelings about this collaboration.
